I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
