Large-scale Russian Strikes Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles struck the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, according to local officials.

Local officials said the city experienced intense attacks overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were bracing for more assaults.
