We present an easy interpretation of a drink found on a new drinks list. This is a batch pre-mixed which is loaded with the flavours associated with holiday season, rendering it ideal for hosting a celebration. Reserve the remaining citrus syrup for brunch beverages, desserts, or for another batch of this cocktail.

For the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (makes 850ml, to serve 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml clementine cordial (from the recipe above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Method
To prepare the Cordial: Combine every items in a pot, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. After that, take off the heat and let it to cool down fully. Pour to a sealable bottle, seal and store chilled, it will last for around one month.
To make Cocktail Base: Pour every liquid ingredients into one large bottle, let it rest for an hour, then filter it best through a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
For serving: Pour 85ml of the cocktail base into a mixing glass filled with ice, and stir lightly for a minute to cool it down. Strain into a cold coupe glass or a similar vessel, decorate with the cranberries and finish by giving it a light spray with the mandarin essence above the glass.
